All our clinics, treatment room services and phlebotomy (blood tests) are accessed strictly by appointment. We aim to pursue preventative medicine for all our patients. Our practice nurses offer “well person” checks and will advise on disease prevention. We also encourage regular medication reviews.

Young Person’s Guide to Health

We provide a confidential service to all our patients, including under 16 year olds. This means you can tell others about your visit but we won’t. The only reason why we might pass on your confidential information without your permission would be to protect you or someone else from very serious harm. We would always try and discuss this with you first.

Our nurses offer help and advice to young people for help with stop smoking, weight management, healthy life styles and advice on minor health problems. You will also find more information about local groups and support in our Wellbeing Centre.

Keep your immunisations up to date! Young people aged 16-24 are at risk of measles and mumps. Make an appointment with our practice nurse. We offer a full range of contraception and sexual health advice including free emergency contraception – just make an appointment with a doctor or nurse or ask advice from a local pharmacy. If you have been advised by the surgery to submit a contraceptive pill review, please complete our Contraceptive Pill Review form.

Your Health

We encourage all our patients to share the responsibility of their health, both by preventing disease and treating existing diseases. Many serious illnesses can be prevented by a healthy lifestyle. Visit our Treatment Room for help with minor illnesses and injuries. Alternatively, you can discuss the various ways of promoting improvements in your general health with your doctor or practice nurse.
